RESEARCH PARTNERS
To realize sustainability requires new ideas and putting them
into practice. Progressing an idea from conception through
the research process to establish the knowledge from which
design can proceed requires specialist expertise particularly if
the design is novel and pioneering. This is especially true
when complete closed-cycle systems are being developed.
EnGen Institute cannot have staff in all of these many fields
of expertise. Consequently the standard modus operandi for
the institute is to identify the best available centre of
expertise, usually a university, for each specialist field and
subcontract the research domain to the Research Partner.
This often involves an ongoing relationship with a university
research group for an extended period where EnGen Institute
will support post-graduate researchers, undertaking higher
degrees by research, under the direction of a post-doctoral
researcher. EnGen Institute will also contract post-doctoral
researchers directly to undertake development tasks.
EnGen Institute welcomes expressions of interest from
research groups interested in becoming Research Partners.
